A starting point for support

Mental Health & Spatial Awareness Companion.

Support for the person, with awareness of the space around them.
FOSHA is a health-innovation prototype for people who feel anxious or overwhelmed at crowded public events. The concept pairs psychological support with information about the surrounding venue.
The team explored a companion that could help someone check in, follow a calming exercise, find a quieter area and reach help when needed.
The pitch connects three ideas: spatial awareness, psychological support in Arabic and English, and access to emergency assistance.
A proposed green, yellow and red triage flow matches the level of distress with self-help, guided support or escalation. Live crowd data and automatic alerts to the Saudi Red Crescent are part of the proposed system; the materials shown here document the prototype.
Three screens show the journey from checking in to understanding the venue and following a breathing exercise. Values and crowd conditions shown in these screens are illustrative prototype data.

A venue map explores how crowd-density information could help people find calmer areas. Color-coded zones are paired with labels and a list of quieter spaces.

The support flow offers a guided breathing timer alongside the proposed grounding exercises and Arabic and English chat support.
FOSHA participated in the 6th Health Innovation Hackathon hosted by King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) in Riyadh, held from 6–9 February 2026. The project reached the finals.
Our team presented FOSHA as a way to bring mental-health support and spatial awareness together at large-scale events. The work shown here captures that concept and its early interface exploration.
